Diana's All Natural Citrus Cleaner Recipe Diana's Citrus Mint Cleaner/Degreaser/Window Spray     A cyber-friend (Nancy) emailed me for an environmentally friendly cleaner for her carpet. A plant in her house had dripped sap on her carpet so she wiped it up and had her carpet steam cleaned - twice.    The gobs of sap came up but the carpet was still a little sticky and the fibers were stiff. It was ruined anyway - so she was willing to try anything on it, so long as it was natural. I gave her this recipe and instructions: Diana's Citrus Mint Cleaner/Degreaser/Window Spray Recipe - 1/2 cup fresh lemon peel (organic - washed and then dried VERY well) - 1/2 cup fresh orange peel (same as above) - 1 cup fresh mint leaves (organic - washed and dried VERY well) - 1 cup white vinegar Steep citrus peels and mint leaves in vinegar (this means to warm the vinegar over low heat on the stove - add the peels and mint - stir and then turn heat off)    Stir every hour or so for a few hours. Then put in fridge. Let stand for 2 weeks or until vinegar has leached out the color & fragrance of the botanicals. * If this cleaning solution is needed for germs too (like on counter tops...), then add 1 tablespoon of tea tree essential oil to the finished solution before using. To Use:    Strain well and put in a spray bottle (or see below for use in a steam cleaner). Use to clean your stove, counters, windows to a sparkling shine. Also good on carpets, but do a color fast test in an inconspicous spot first. If that goes okay, then it is likely safe to finish the carpet with it. * You can also add the contents to 1 gallon of water for use in a steam cleaner if you wish. *** Be sure to rinse your carpet with clean water after cleaning with this solution. ***** Be careful not to get this cleaner on finished wood as it may damage the finish. A while later I got this Testimony from Nancy : "I've been going to email you since Saturday.    We cleaned the carpet last Friday and while I was hoping for a stronger citrus scent, it sure seems to have done the trick.    No more stiff, sticky carpet!! I'm hoping that more organic mint will be available at the health food store on Friday, at which time I'll get some more and start another batch! All of my hand-blended products are made in small batches and are given the time required for the herbs and flowers to fully release their essence to the blend.
Nothing is rushed - or faked at my shop !

I am sometimes out of stock in some products because I will not sell it until it is just right.

It can take a while if I am out of a certain herb or flower (like Lilacs) and I have to wait until the Spring (or other season that is the proper time for a certain herbs/flower...) to harvest more.

I will NOT use fake colors, scents, fragrance oils ...

I think the best products are worth all of this effort - Don't you ?
