About My Organic Garden,
my shop & Me
My roots:
My interest in natural living,
handcrafting, and love of cooking began in
my hometown of Hubbard, Ohio.
My maternal grandmother (Regina), seemed to know
the name for any flower. We spent hours
walking in her gardens while we weeded,
picked/gathered, disposed of pests, & of
course - talked & laughed!
My paternal grandmother (Fannie) used her
Native American know-how to gather from the
field and forest.
It's amazing when we come to the
realization that our creator gave us
everything we need - if we look!
My knowledge of organic
gardening, handmade soaps & home spa
products... is enhanced by reading
books & magazines... and from internet groups to which I belong.
I
mainly learn from my "what
worked -or most likely what didn't work-
for me" experiments.
Why am I an ORGANIC gardener ?
To have fresh pure food for my family
To have chemical-free flowers/herbs... for tea, my handmade soaps & Bath "Teas"
To teach my three children to care for themselves
and our earth.
I am always looking for new
ways to use flowers-herbs... and for new ideas
for making my organic garden even better.
