Room scenting pillows August 15, 2008 These decorate your room and softly scent it too ! I just listed 6 of them in my online store. These 6 will be fine alone or they will coordinate very well together. 3 of them have lavender buds inside only and 3 of them have lavender buds- rose petals - lilac flowers inside for the scent. As usual, if you want several items from my store shipped to you - email me and I will add in a little extra something as a thank you to compensate for the shipping charges.   There is no way to combine shipping as of yet on the shopping site - so I like to add in a little gift to make up for it somewhat. I still need a bunch more, but it started to rain so we had to quit for today. I will use some for a perfume and soap too. This is how so many of the deaths in that side of the family get written up - eventhough we all know it is likely from the Marfan Syndrome. We also removed the sink and the under-cabinet in the bathroom because it was in pretty bad shape.   Hopefully I can get it replaced SOON. I also need to do some work on the bathroom floor as the OLD tiles are all beat up and grab the mop. The vanilla beans started giving their essence almost as soon as I added them to the oil. The sandalwood chips are just now starting to release a little scent to the mix. In another week or 2, this blend might be finished.   We'll see. Very interesting ! I will be adding the dried organic fruit peels to the infusion in a few days to hopefully get the scent blend that she wants. She can't wear anything very "floral" because it affects her breathing. These blossoms are not overpowering at all. I will add to the infusion some organic apricot peelings and maybe some peach ones too after a few days. After that, I will have to see what this blend "becomes" and then I will determine what (if anything) I want to add to it. I have a white Lilac and an Old-Fashioned purple Lilac.     Both of these were my Grandmother's flowers. Once they are blooming just perfectly, I will harvest many of the petals to dry them for later use. After they are dried, and I have a free moment or two - LOL, I will infuse these also.     I make both a "White Lilac" goat milk soap and and "Old-Fashioned Lilac" goat milk soap from my Grandmother's infused Lilacs. If I can harvest enough blossoms, I might make a solid perfume from Lilacs as well.
